Service Agreement

Pets are accepted for grooming only under the following circumstances:

The pet is fit and healthy, grooming which takes place on an elderly or infirm pet will be at the owner’s risk. Grooming may expose pre-existing health\skin conditions for which Rover Groomz LLC cannot be held liable.

The pet’s rabies vaccine is up to date (as required by law) unless otherwise discussed.

The owner must be present for the first appointment to give instructions on the haircut.

In the event of an emergency, in your absence, you authorize Rover Groomz LLC to contact the nearest Veterinarian and authorize the Vet to treat the pet as necessary at your expense.

Prices are subject to change: Rover Groomz LLC reserves the right to change prices for services at any time to reflect changes in the market conditions, costs of materials, insurance, or other factors. We will make every effort to notify clients of any price changes in writing, by email, or by posting the updated prices on the rovergroomz.com website in advance.

Payment is to be made at the time of service. Payment can be cash, check,Venmo, or credit card. All card payments will be subject to a percentage upcharge based on card company processing fee. To avoid this fee please choose one of the other available payment options. Returned checks will incur a $35 charge. Our rates are based on the weight of the pet and duration of the groom.

The pet is free of fleas or ticks. If fleas or ticks are present, there will be a flea bath/clean up charge. The groomer will stop the grooming process if fleas or ticks are found and notify the client.

We do not offer anal gland expression, as this should be performed by a licensed veterinarian.

If pet is matted to the point de-matting will cause too much pain or discomfort for your pet, customer will be contacted about doing a complete shave down.

I am a no stress groomer and will not put your dog through any unnecessary stressors (for example if they are scared of the blow dryer, we will modify drying). Nail cutting and ear cleaning are part of the service unless the process is too stressful for the pet or too dangerous for the groomer.

“De-matting” or complete coat removal will dramatically alter your pet’s appearance. This procedure may expose pre-existing health\skin problems for which Rover Groomz LLC cannot be held liable.

I care about dogs deeply and safety is a top priority. If at any time during the grooming process the animals or the groomers safety is jeopardized, the groomer has the right to stop the grooming process. 

Cancellations

We try to work as long as weather conditions are not dangerous. If you are unsure, please call us to confirm. 

Cancellation and rescheduling of an appointment, by the client, requires 48 hours’ notice to waive the cancellation fee of 50% of the Full Grooming Fee. 

In the event of inclement weather, a family emergency or any other uncontrollable circumstance, the groomer has the discretion to waive the fee within the 48-hour period. 

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a groom if we feel the need to do so. Every effort will be made to reschedule at a time convenient for both the client and the groomer.     

No-Shows

It is considered a “no-show” when the client is not available at the scheduled appointment time and does not contact the groomer to cancel or reschedule. 

We reserve the right to charge the FULL Grooming Fee due to the loss of revenue caused by a “no-show”. Please make every effort to call and cancel or reschedule when possible, to avoid such situations. 

We reserve the right to refuse service to any pet or client for any reason.
